THE HISTORY OF NORTHERN MICHIGAN AND ITS PEOPLE
by Perry F. Powers (Published in 1912), including people of EMMET County. This is a book with lookups done by Lyn BLAKE Schwartz. If you are inquisitive about a name please ask specific questions. Although the information included is brief, the books contained detailed accounts of each person including their origin, parents, children, spouses names, etc. Very interesting reading. Please contact Lyn for additional information and she will be happy to type as much of the information as she feels would be of interest to you. If you are anxious to have her check on a name, she will see if the name is in the index. Most of the people are prominent leaders in the communtity during that time period such as: postmasters, war
