Linear IgA Bullous Dermatosis
Here, the neutrophil rich infiltrate with
papillary dermal microabscess formation mimicks
dermatitis herpetiformis on the H+E
stained section; however, the linear band of
IgA distinguishes it from dermatitis herpetiformis.
The patient was started on dapsone and
a tapering course of prednisone.
The etiology in this case is idiopathic.
The patient was not taking any medications
that have been implicated as causative of
linear IgA bullous dermatosis.
