I have no knowledge of Matt Simpson's siblings or
ancestors. He arrived in Sharp (or Lawrence) County,

WVA, and died after 1891 in Evening Shade, Sharp County
Arkansas. Married Polly Ann Duke, b.1828 in
Chattanooga, TN, d. 1916, Black Oak, Craighead Co,
Arkansas. They had Wiley (1860-bef 1911), John
Melvin1861/1897, Sarah, b. abt 1863, m. Henry T. Stokes.
They were all born in TN, then Matt and Polly had Barney,
born June 1870, Mt Vernon, Lawrence County, Missouri. He
died September 15, 1955 in Hillsboro, Mississippi. They were in
Sharp County, Arkansas in 1880 census. I've researched Tenn
census indexes for 1850/60 and have had a very hard time tracking
him back from MO. Have you seen him in your research?
