Eli was the son of George and Christena.  He married Hettie Bird,
daughter of Lewis.  In 1857, Eli moved to Jefferson County, where he
was a successful farmer.  His children:

+ c. Sarah born 3 Apr 1843.
+ d. Mahal born 7 Dec 1844.
+ e. Elizabeth J. born 10 Jun 1846.
+ f. Emanuel Fox born 6 Dec 1849.
+ g. William C.L. born 2 Jan 1852.
  h. Margaret Catherine born 15 Mar 1854.  No more information.
  i. Lavina E. born 15 May 1856.  No more information.
+ j. Marshall Seldon born 30 Oct 1860.
+ k. James Eli born 5 Oct 1860.
  l. Louisa M. born 14 Jan 1849.  She died 10 Nov 1849 and is buried in 
Jones Chapel Cemetery on Flat Creek.
+ M. Hattie Evangeline born 5 May 1863.
