Plan a Weekend Outing in San Francisco

If you're familiar with Netscape, open
a second browser window so that you can
keep these directions on the screen while you do your research
- Begin your research at the
Smart Pages website
- Look under Neighborhoodsin the left margin
- Click under the name of the neighborhood to see detailed information about it
- Choose a neighborhood which you think would be interesting
to visit.
Now, plan your trip. Consider the following:
- Which BART stop is the best one to use?
- Which SF Muni bus or train should you take?
- How much money should you expect to spend on transportation?
Here are some tips:
- From the

website, you can get the information numbers for both BART and Muni
by looking in the General Information section in the left margin, and
clicking on Getting ThereorGetting Around
- The San Francisco
Bay Area Transit Information website (Under Transit Agencies, San Francisco
Muni)
has MUNI bus schedules
- You can find some useful maps by visiting the GuideYou.com website and
clicking on Maps,
then on San Francisco City Map, then on the neighborhood you've chosen
- You can also check Yahoo's
SF Bay Page for links to more useful webpages
On the Monday after your trip, your group
will be responsible for a
short (15 min.) presentation in which you describe:
- Where you went
- How you got there
- What you did/had for lunch, etc.
- What you recommend/don't recommend
Bring along any souvenirs, maps etc. for show-and-tell!
