Creating a web
Developing the plan. Doing it. Redoing it. Tools. Methods. Java. Javascript. ActiveX. Graphics. I expect this web to be "under construction" forever.
Purpose of this web: To provide a (hopefully worthy & useful) contribution (feedback) to the Internet, which has freely given me "the world".
Browsable Web Index
I am developing a program that creates a browsable index of my web. I'm writing it in Visual FoxPro 3.0, and have completed a functional prototype. Please check out the output.
Wave File Alarm Clock
A Visual Basic 4.0 program that plays a .WAV file when the alarm time is reached. It is a good demo of Windows 95 GUI design and VB4 programming. This program needs just a little more TLC to make it a worthwhile download.
ActiveX Internet Utilities
Playing with ActiveX winsock controls in VB4. Status: In Progress
Mapping IP addresses to MAC addresses
A Rexx program for NT4 that scans a range of IP addresses and reports the MAC address of each host.
Installing and Using Windows NT 4.0
I recently installed NT4 workstation on my work PC.

Interests

Systems Development
Programming with Notes, Visual FoxPro, Visual Basic, and getting into Java.
Network Engineering
Local Area Networks, Wide Area Networks, The Internet, Novell NetWare, Windows NT. I am a Novell Certified NetWare Engineer. I hand-edited this tiny CNE logo, which was originally someone else's scanned image, to be as accurate as possible at low resolution (64x92, 2 colors). The scanned original had too many flaws to be appealing at low-res. Novell's "sideways N" shows off the jaggies very nicely ;-)

Music Composition, Performance, and Production
I've been playing guitar and bass for over 20 years. I like to compose original music and record it. For a long time the studio was only a Roland TR-707 Drum Machine and a Tascam PortaOne Ministudio. I'm slowly evolving into using the computer for various purposes like MIDI composition and audio using Cakewalk Pro Audio and Sound Forge.

Here's some great links to keep you busy until I get everything organized better.
