Title: Ron and his broken wand
Artist: Tiny Q Year: Nov 2003 Media: Clay and Glaze Comments: The final member of the trio that I made was Ron. Poor unfortunate Ron. You see, I had fired Harry and Herm the week before and finished him the next. But there was an accident in the kiln and the poor dear was over-fired by about 12 hours. So he shrunk way more than he should have and is now about 2 centimeters shorter than the other two. (He used to be taller) As well, the over firing made it so the glaze did not absorb or dry properly before the second firing, which is why he looks so screwed and his face is all garbled. I am going to make a new one... eventually. |
