We lived at 43-26-165th St., in Flushing, NY from the time I was four years old. Until after I was married, there was a huge vacant lot next door. The family and neighbors spent many hours sitting under the one tree on that vacant lot. Bonnie Wooters, Stell Jones, Tony DeMola are three of them. Next to Tony is my uncle Bob Ross, behind them is my mom, Betty, and next to her is my aunt Lorraine. It must have been about 1947. |
