This is a periodical publication of the Indian Academy of Pediatrics - JAIPUR CHAPTER.( for more about Jaipur click here)

The publication was initiated about 3 years back with modest beginnings - the idea being to bring out a Newsletter that may serve as a forum of communication and news relating to Pediatricians of the State of Rajasthan ( Jaipur is the capital of this State).

Soon it acquired a larger dimension and the circulation grew from the initial intended 200 to 1000 and reached all Pediatrcians in the State as well as some functionaries of the Central IAP at Mumbai ( Bombay ) and all national medical college libraries.

Jaipur has a group of about 200 Pediatricians with the larger number in practice.Jaipur has one Medical College ( Sawai Mansingh Medical College) and the State of Rajasthan has six.

The philosophy behind PEDIA MEDIA:

It is a growing realization that while existing Journals are exceptional and impressive in their content they tend more often than not to stay aloof from matters of day to day and practical import.

Stemming from this feeling Pedia Media has always stood for the common, the applicable,the felt need and has addressed scientific matters of such content and has given serious thought to the human aspect of the practice of medicine - the softer side of the science,so to speak.
