FUNDING
Here are a number of contacts for musicians and songwriters to access. Some you may find extremely valuable while others can prove to be nothing more than a waste of your valuable time. Listed are funding bodies, provincial arts councils, songwriting contest, record labels and a variety of other places you can go to for information and help.
THE FOUNDATION TO ASSIST CANADIAN TALENT ON RECORD FACTOR is without a doubt the finest organization I’ve ever dealt with. They have a number of funding programs available to artists and live up to their name. They are there to assist “all” musical artists. No matter what style of music you write and perform they have a catagory for it. Their applications are extensive but thorough.

Here you can access a number of Provincial Arts Councils. Most provincial artists councils are there to assist you in your musical endeavours. They will be able to, if nothing else, offer you direction and provide you with information concerning provincially run programs.

FACTOR APPLICATION HELP
Before contacting me for help with your FACTOR Application please contact FACTOR. They will assist you with any and all questions you might have regarding their available programs. When you decide on which program you are going to apply for have them send you the application. Please remember that I can only advise you from an artists perspective. Advice is free. If you are looking for someone to fill out you application and prepare you budget I can do that too, however, there is a charge for that service. If, after you receive you application, you have questions my advice is to contact FACTOR with them. Once again, they will assist you in any way they can. If you have questions that you feel only another musician/songwriter can answer then please contact me by Email. I have no special secrets to offer you but I have been successful in securing FACTOR funding on six separate occassions.
