The paintings on this page are called "FUNONIALS." Durand coined the word to explain the idea of Fun and Colonial... the types of works he began doing for the American Bicentennial. Eventually the term "FUNONIAL" was applied to any of Durand's work that was "less than serious" - or - for Fun Only.
