Excitement in archaeology is a rare thing, indeed, it's so rare that when a whole new race was discovered last month many University professors were reported to have experienced involuntary bowel movements.
The first issue of Inside Dead People's Heads was thought to have pulled off a major coup when it unveiled the facts in the first edition.  Said Editor, Spencer Freeloader, "We'd discovered the first relics about ten years ago on a dig in North Africa.  We've been sitting on it trying to work out the best way of cashing in."

Grainy
Suspicions were first aroused when Oxford student, Milton Hedge, noticed that in every photo of the main attraction, an almost complete urn, a small area was always covered.  When he asked to see the urn in person he was told that it was being seen by a team of conservationists.
This seemed a bit suspicious as it was several years old, and had probably been 'seen by a team of conservationists' already.  The student decided he was going to break into the offices of the magazine.  He managed to acquire a folder of memos that showed how the company had systematically faked a series of artefacts using ageing techniques developed in Japan for large Hollywood studios who can't afford to pay for old actors, and just age cheap youngsters.

Jailed
The exposure has meant the entire senior staff have been arrested and are expected to be fined around £50.  The maximum sentence for faking historical artefacts is 2 hours community service, and is unlikely to be handed out.
Milton Hedges has been found guilty of breaking and entering and he has been sentenced to three years in jail.
