WE WILL BE KNOWN BY THE TRACKS WE LEAVE

I am known as "The Pilgrim", aka Ted. Retired for awhile now, I have enjoyed traveling and the world wide web. The country of Western New York is my home. I was proud to serve with the 7th Division in Korea...'53 -'56.

I grew up in a world without computers, no cell phones and McDonalds didn't exist. And I would do it all over again.

Scattered throughout the land are 5 kids, 13 grandkids and 4 great grandchildren. I am proud of them...every one. My faithful companion Jake, a yellow lab, cheerfully leads the way, as we trek to the bass pond.

Please return to enjoy my various "Links".
Some links are accessed by clicking on a graphic and some are underlined text.
Thanks for coming

Call me Old Fashioned

I like dirt roads, the smell of hay, back road diners, thunderstorms, country auctions, fishing, railroads, breakfast on an open fire, the smell of someone cooking chicken, Sunday morning, Country Music, Willie, Waylon, Johnny Cash and old barns.

Desperado

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses
You've been out riding fences for so long now.
Oh, you're a hard one but I know that you've got your reasons.
These things that are pleasing you will hurt you somehow.

Don't you draw the queen of diamonds, boy she'll beat you if she's able.
You know the queen of hearts is always your best bet.
Now it seems to me some fine things have been laid upon your table
but you only want the ones that you can't get .

Desperado, oh you ain't gettin' no younger.
Your pain and your hunger they're drivin' you home,
and freedom, oh freedom well that's just some people talkin'.
Your prison is walkin' through this world alone.

Don't your feet get cold in the wintertime
The sky won't snow and the sun won't shine.
It's hard to tell the night time from the day.
You're losin' all your highs and lows,
ain't it funny how the feelin' goes away

Desperado, why don't you come to your senses
Come down from your fences and open the gate.
It may be rainin' but there's a rainbow above you.
You better let somebody love you, let somebody love you.
You better let somebody love you before it's too late.

JAKE

Jake asked me to share this letter he received from a lonely dog.

A Back Yard Dog

Before I die, I would like everyone to know how I feel. I am very old now and I have lived and will die chained in the back yard.

I suffered the cold of the winter and the heat of summer. I have never known the comfort of family life. I have never been invited inside to enjoy an evening with my family. I have never been for a walk.

I have so much love in my heart to give them and now that I am near the end of my days, they will never know how much I loved them.

I forgive them.....for the way they treated me, but my heart is heavy with sadness for all the dogs who live and die on the chain.

A lonely Dog

A BIG THANK YOU to all who rescue animals and love their pets.
