COURSE DESCRIPTION

Hours of Credit:    3 hours

Brief Catalog Description:
    Fundamental statistical literacy, including definitions, types of data, frequency distributions, measures of variability, and central tendency, binomial distribution, hypothesis testing and basic statistical tests (principally z-test, t-test, chi-square, and ANOVA).  The relationship of quantitative concepts to educational evaluation is discussed.
