this article gives much information about William Boyd, the information
was found in his application for a Revolutionary War pension, supporting 
documentation, and service record. He was a resident of Rowan Co., N. C. when he 
enlisted in April 1777. After the war he lived in Montgomery Co., N.C.,Warren CO.,Tenn.,
Lauderdale Co.,Ala., and Washington Co., Arkansas.
2. Revolutionary War Pension file Number R1094 contains 60 pages of applications and 
other documentation associated with his attempt to get a pension which he never received.
