Martin who died of Typhoid peumonia at his residence about six o'clock this morning (13th Apr.) He was born in Fauquier Co., VA Sept. 1817 and moved to this state in 1886. He was elected to office of curcit clerk in 1853, which he still held Feb 1869 when he resigned. He was collector of internal revenue for the fourth district.

McKEE of the same, for $200 a lot of tobacco now housed at Alexander's house in Lincoln Co., because Alexander is indebted to McKEE for $200 and is anxious to secure the payment of the debt, and the lot of tobacco is not ready for market until about 15 Apr. 1850. Alexander will retain possession of the tobacco until it is ready for market, Alexander will haul it to the warehouse of McKEY at Cap au Grey, McKEY shall reserve $200 plus intrest & expenses out of the sale of the tobacco. Alexander signed the paper on the 30 October 1849 in front of Charles FERRY Justice.
