With this web page, we hope to share family information with others, and update other other family members on whats going on with the rest of us.

The annual Jackson Family Reunion, will be held this year(2000) on the first Sat. in August, which is the 5th. It will be at the same place as the last two years, Manchester Recreation Center, at Beech Creek.

Please let everyone know about this, and lets fill that place up! If you have friends that would like to come also, please invite them.

Included in this page is a family tree, Beginning with Haywood Jackson.

Haywood Jackson was born in Kentucky,in 1829( according to the 1950 Federal census).
He first settled in Hog Branch, on Stinking Creek in Knox Co. He then married Roena Hubbard.
He got a land grant in Clay Co, Claimed land from the old Bear Creek school, to some where down on Ashers Fork Creek. According to family sources, he traded this land for two small calves,( another source, A team of oxen).
In 1836 he got a land grant of 50 acres in Caties (Katies) Creek, in Clay Co.
In about 1849,their son Milton was born. In 1854, he got another land grant of 50 acres in Caties Creek. He claimed land from about the old Caties Creek School house, to the head of Caties Creek.
Then again, according to family sources, he traded this land for a talking machine,( RCA Victrola).
On Oct. 5th, 1863, Haywood joined the 47th KY. Mounted Infantry. Company B. (Union Army)At Irving Ky. The 47th, was later included in the Army Of The OHIO. The 47th was under Major Barnes, in a brigade of other Ky. regiments that was commanded by Col. John Mason Brown. The regiments were all in a division Commanded by Gen. Hobson. He was was mustered out of service at Lexington Ky. Dec. 26, 1864.
He then moved to Lick Fork, in Clay Co, somewhere around this time(1856) Their other son Steve was born.
Steve grew up in Lick Fork, then moved to Bell Co. Futher information about Steve, is unknown. Other Children include, Polly Jackson, brn 1852, Mariah Jackson, brn 1854, and Mary Jane Jackson, brn 1858.
No other information about these children is known.
Milton grew up in Lick Fork, and married Rebecca Stewart, they had three sons. John, Will, and Tom.( Known as Bony Tom).
In 1887 Milton obtained a land grant of 50 acres in Knox Co, then in 1888, he got another land grant of 50 acres in Clay Co.( Location Unknown).
John Jackson married Sally Jones, daughter of "Little" Wiley Jones.
They had four children, Milton, Rosie, Roena, and Mary.

Milton married Bessie Keith, daughter of Green B Keith, they had nine children, Milton Jr., Harold , Kenneth, Carol, Edgar, Janie, Winston, James, and Sharon. They also raised a grandson, Delbert, from two months old until the death of Milton in 1963.

Rosie married Andrew Jackson, they had three sons, George, Cecil, and Perry.

Roena married a Sizemore, first name unknown.

Mary married Gillis Sizemore, they had several children, names unknown, Gillis was killed by a sheriff, while trying to serve a Warrant For murder on Gillis, the sheriff was also wounded.

Tom Jackson married Martha Jones, sister of Sally, they had three children, Beige, Bertie, and Nerva.

Will Jackson married Mary Baker Cox, they had three children, Eb, Albert, and Arther. There was several step children, among those was "Cross Eyed Tom, who took the Jackson name.

Sally and Martha Jones had another sister Cindy, who married Clint North, and at least one other sister,

Belle Jones, who married John Ferrel, they had at least two sons, Ennard, and Engrid Ferrel. ( not sure of the spelling of first names).

After the death of Sally, John Jackson married again to Mary Jane Smith, daughter of Darb Smith. They had seven Children. Woodson, Sally, Forster, Carrie, Garret, Charlie, and Eugene.

Woodson married Daisy Jackson, they had four children, Hester, Raymond, Bessie, and John Henry.

After the death of Daisy, Woodson married Ethel Keith, daughter of Green B Keith, and sister of Bessie, they had three stillborn children.

Sally married Matthew Saylor, they had six children, Denver, Richard, Nellie, Ralph, Pauline and Louise.

Carrie married Perry Jackson, they had four children, Roberta, Della May, Arnold,and Orly.

Carrie married again to John Letcher, they had one son, John Letcher Jr.

Carrie had three more children, names and father unknown.

Forster Married Gertrude Lawson, they had six children, Mary Ann, Fred, Margie, Franklin, Paul, and Maudie.

Garrett married MargieTaylor, they had eight children, Shirley, Joyce, Ernest, Robert, Luther, Garrett Jr., Hershel, and Charles.

Charlie married Bessie Lawson, they had four children, Donald, Lewis, Wanda, and Dorthy.

Eugene married Felicia Collett,daughter of Wilke Collett, they had six Children, Eugene Jr., Terry Lynn, Vicky Sue, David wayne, Vernon, and Tony.

This Family Tree is by no means Complete, and it's only purpose, is to solicite more infomation on the Jackson Family.....
