Who Am I?

Who Am I?

I am the keeper of my dreams; I am the guardian of my hopes. I am the son of my father, and the father of my child. I have thoughts, ideas, inspirations, feelings, and emotions. I am too old for training wheels, and too young to retire. I am rich in many ways, and poor in many others. I am my own best friend, I am my own worst enemy. I laugh when I知 happy, I cry when I知 sad, I help when I can and I pray when I have to. I am the master of my morals and a slave of my own limitations. I am opinionated, obstinate, arrogant, and occasionally antagonistic. I am open and honest in a reserved sort of way. I am an adult, and a child; I am confident and insecure; I am a friend, a lover, a hero, a coward, and a hopeless romantic. I believe in Heaven on Earth, goodwill towards men, and Hell is what you make it out to be. I design, I build, I create, I evaluate, I condemn, and I destroy. I am consistency and contradiction. I am a teacher and a student. I知 old enough to know better, and young enough to try. I知 thirty-something. I grew up in the Wonder Years, got lost in the Twilight Zone, and wound up with the Brady Bunch on The Other Side of Midnight. I am no more than any one, nor less than any other. I am what I am, and that痴 all that I am. And Just For Today, I知 okay.

I wrote that for one of my classes, not knowing what would come of it when I started; not realizing how honest and true-to-life it would be in the end. It is how I perceive myself to be. If you find any part of it that you can relate to from your own experience, please write and let me know. Thanks.
