This picture has been appearing in lots of newspapers and magazines lately, but I'm the one who made it this past March. The lady is my beautiful friend Margaret who currently lives in New York City and the makeup was professionally done by Roman of Bethesda Maryland.

Margaret has been completely bald since her early childhood when she had a rare disease. Now she is the poster girl for the Allopecia Totallis Foundation, which attempts to educate the public concerning baldness in women and helping others with this affliction. In addition to working as a fashion and artists' model, she is taking voice lessons to become an opera singer. She is a wonderful example of how a person can overcome obstacles and become whatever they can imagine themselves to be.
