How I discovered Fatal Embrace!?
.
The first time I heard "Shadowsouls´ Garden" was in the time when Dissection´s
"The Past is Alive" was just released.
I was quite in a hurry, and listened to the
albums, in order to choose one of them, because my
economy wasn´t on top.
The sound in the speakers wasn´t the best, but I could discern some melodies,
and I decided to buy it (Shadowsouls' Garden).
Some days later I bought the Dissection album.
.
When I listened to the album at home, my first impression of the album was that it now
and then sound like a complete chaos, and it wasn´t positive.
I couldn´t even listen to a whole song without getting tired of it.
I missed the melodies, so I put it back to my record collection, and I almost forgot it.
I went back to my old albums, and I found Dark Tranquillity´s "The Gallery", and I
really liked the way they mixed rhytm and melodies,
and I became more interested in guitar theory.
.
About a month later I listened to "Shadowsouls´ Garden" again.
This time it was like a new band for me.
I could understand their music in an other way, and I found
their progressive and melodic parts, everywhere.
This was something new that you couldn´t put in a genre, it was Fatal Embrace.
