Found!!
Do You Know Where I Belong????

For several months, we have sadly posted listings of stolen/missing birds. The other side of that equation are birds that have been found, with the finders trying to locate their homes.

On this page we will post those birds that have been found; in the hopes that they might be reunited with their families.

On 6/18, (97) a cockatiel was found in Northeast Philadelphia, in the Summerton area. From the description over the phone (from a non-parrot person), it sounds like a pearl or pied, *maybe* a male. The bird is tame.

Anyone who might know anything about who might've lost this little critter, please call Liz at (215) 946-5964, or Lwilsoncvt@AOL.COM and she'll refer you to the lady who has it.

In the west suburbs of DENVER, a gentle Eastern Rosella has been found.

The bird is fully flighted and obvious escapee. It is close banded with '95 hatchdate. Contact John or Carol

Band number will be required to claim bird.

In Kent, WA a family found a Blue-Fronted Amazon in their garage. The bird was found approximately August 6th and the family has been trying to locate the bird's family since that date.

The bird has obviously been well cared for and Kim is anxious to find it's family.

I am posting for a friend who doesn't have the internet (and doesn't even live in my state) but here goes. Her friend's neighbor found a Yellow Naped Amazon in his yard in Easton, PA on July 4th (1998) weekend. Bird is friendly, banded and does not appear to talk. At first the neighor wanted to keep the bird, then started to look in the paper hoping for a reward. I think if owners are found, the bird can be retrieved. My friend is trying to get band info now but that info will be withheld for ID purposes. You can contact Linda via email.

Cockatiel found in the Gladstone area of Oregon. Call or write with description to claim. Was found May 28, 1998.

I was found by a Nanday Conure, Easter weekend in Colquitt Co., Moultrie, Georgia. No one has come forward to claim, but I'm sure it was someone's pet. Please post in case they may decide to look harder for their pet! Debra D. Sloan

Found 7/15/98 - Cockatoo in Pomona, NY (Rockland Cty)I am reporting this for a friend who found the bird.
