Dear TCCFA member,

It is that time of year again where we ask you to continue your support of the Canada-China Friendship Association by renewing your membership. Our 2017-2018 season includes a range of speakers including expert authors and our much loved annual Jiaozi. Our annual fall banquet is coming up on Monday, September 25th and we would love to see you and your guest there. All this information is included below,and, of course, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact eitherMichael or Jeff for more information.

The dinner will mark the opening of TCCFA’s tenth year and coincides with the celebration of China’s National Day, October 1. China’s National Day is one of the most important dates of the Chinese calendar. Please join representatives from thePeople’s Republic of China Toronto Consulate and fellow TCCFA members for an evening of friendship and fine food.

- $40 per ticket & $100 for (3) three tickets if ordered in advance by September 18th
- Monday, September 25, 2017 at Dim Sum King Seafood Restaurant

- Reservations will be accepted up to 6:00 pm, Sunday, September 24th

Coming up Sunday October 22 and Sunday November 15, we are working hard to present Victor Falkenheim and Bernie Frolic. Victor Falkenheim is Professor Emeritus, Department of Political Science and East Asian Studies at Victoria College, University of Toronto. Chinese politics and migration and urbanization are issues Victor is currently researching. Bernie is Professor Emeritus, Department of Politics,York University, and is currently the Executive Director of the Asian Business and Management program at York Centre for Asian Research.
