TOUR GUIDELINES FOR FCCFA FORUMS/DELEGATIONS TO CHINA REVISED JUNE 8, 2014 FOR FORUM 2014 1. A Tour Director will be appointed from the Board of Directors to direct Inbound and Outbound federation delegations or tours. 2. CPAFFC is encouraged to invite delegation tours from Canada. There are currently six member Associations (Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Calgary, Victoria and Lower Mainland). Associations can nominate delegates, based on CPAFFC’s invitation requirements. 3. FCCFA will respond to Forum invitations by sending 10 delegates LEADERSHIP 4. FCCFA president will lead the delegation. 5. In addition to the leader, FCCFA will attempt to send one delegate from each of six current chapters, with two from a chapter with over 100 members. Each chapter will select the most appropriate person(s) to represent them. 6. The Federation President should negotiate the approximate departure date and generalitinerary with CPAFFC prior to notifying member Associations, so that potential delegates have a good idea of tour dates and itinerary before accepting. 7. A Tour Administrator, should be appointed from delegates to assist the Tour Leader. The Tour Administrator may handle the financial arrangements or delegate it to another tour member, as agreed in advance with the Tour Leader DELEGATE SELECTION 8. On receipt of delegation tour information, each member Association will appoint delegate/s and possibly an alternative. Associations will make every effort to satisfy any CPAFFC’s stipulation for the desired type of delegates. 9. Chapters should send applications of other interested candidates. The FCCFA executive will consider these applications in the case of additional spaces becoming available. 10. The remaining two delegate positions (and any vacant spaces from chapters not nominating a delegate) will be allocated according to current tour guidelines, attempting to select each from a different chapter. 11. None of the 2 additional delegates shall have been a delegate more than three times, unless no suitable other candidates are available GUIDELINES ITINERARY (Details to be communicated as received) Sept 1 Arrive Guiyang. Guizhou Province Sep 1-5 Forum & Tours (5 nts) COSTS • Airline cost to and from China to be paid by participants .• All expenses in China paid by CPAFFC for delegates. • $200 fee to be paid by all participants to Treasurer by July 6, 2014 • Delegates will pay US$xx/day for extra hotel nights in Guiyang (payable in US$) APPLICATION FORM • The completed application form (Click HERE for copy) and cheque for $200 is required by July 6, 2014. TOUR GUIDELINES • Insurance We recommend you secure health and cancellation insurance on this trip .• Travel You are responsible for travel to China at your own expense. Please advise Travel Administrator of your travel plans as soon as your have confirmation .• Health Consult your Doctor or Public Health authority regarding inoculations, medications, etc. recommended for Chinese travel. Although travel in China is increasingly less demanding, good endurance is required as there is a fair amount of walking at scheduled sites and airports. If anyone is not able to keep up with the tour, that person must make their own arrangements to return home. BAGGAGE • One piece of luggage (max. weight less than 20 kilos) is allowed in China. Please plan your luggage in accordance with your ability to carry it yourself at all times. Individual tour members are responsible for their own overweight baggage.
