"Let me go!" Nate struggled and struggled, but the strange man didn't let him go.

 "MWHA HA HA!!!" The man laughed maniacally, and they arrived at what seemed to be a dungeon.

 "There. NOW I can let you go!!" The man threw Nate into the
cell, and he landed on his back.

 "Ow!" Nate wasn't hurt that much, but his arm seemed to ache and he had a lot of bruises. Ramza had hit him harder than that. There was a window in the cell. Nate got up, and stood on the cot and looked out the window. What he saw was beyond all comprehension. He was about a mile off the ground! All he saw below was green land and blue water.

 The place he was in was a giant tower. Out in the distance he saw an airplane... but it was too big to be an airplane... wait! Was it the Highwind? It sped off to the north, and Nate saw clouds settling in.

 "Ahem..." The cell door opened, and Nate spun around. He saw
a squat man in green military ensemble, but didn't recognize him.

 "Scarlet, this is our new specimen... too bad Hojo ain't around, but that Kefka man seems up enough for the job. Gwha ha ha!"

 "Well, I do say, he looks like a fine young specimen. Should make a fine young soldier for Kefka... I don't like him, Heidegger... he seems like he has an accomplice or an ulterior motive..." Scarlet commented to Heidegger. He nodded in agreement.

 "Agreed. Now, let's get back on our agenda..." Heidegger and Scarlet left the cell and locked the door. Nate silently began to cry.

 "Elena! Reno! We found Ramza!" Tifa opened the door, and brought a red-eyed Ramza into the room.

 "Ramza! What happened to you?" Reno asked.

 "She stowed away on the Highwind to find out what happened to Nate!" Cid injected, and Elena had a look of disapproval.

 "Now Ramza, you know better..." Elena began, but Ramza just broke out crying.

 "It's NOT FAIR! Why do those people take everything away from us?" She ran off into her room crying.

 "Poor kid... Wish there was something we could do for her..." Elena said, and they just sat down and stared at the ground.

 "What the HELL is going on here?" Reeve shouted, and slammed his fist on his desk. He didn't realize he made it heave and dent. "Whoops... Who the hell does this Kefka guy think he is?"

 "You have to be out of your mind! Using a child..." Sephiroth Purple (he will have a name shortly) said in disgust to Seph Red.

 "And who is to stop me? Kefka will get me out of here soon with the help of that boy... NYA HA HA!!!" Seph red shook his fist in the lifestream, and Seph Purple deduced it would be a smart idea to find a place to make a plan.

 "WHA HA HA!!!! WHA HA HA!!!" Kefka laughed as a servant brought Nate in. The guard dropped Nate on the floor, left, and locked all doors with a keypad. Nate sat up and rubbed his eyes.

 "Do you know who I am?" Kefka asked Nate. He shook his head.

 "You were the one that kidnapped me."

 "DING!! Give him a prize! But do you KNOW WHO I am?" Kefka asked. Nate shook his head.

 "I am Kefka, the ruler of this world. Not pleased to make your acquaintance," He asked, and laughed his trademark laugh.

 "Why do you want me?" Nate asked, and Kefka began his answer.

 "Well, you, my little Jenova servant, you will be my new super soldier. MWHA HA HA!!! Come!" Kefka got up and picked Nate up.

 "LET ME GO!" Nate hollered, but Kefka paid him no mind. Kefka put him in a room with a large glass tube with a lot of hoses connected to it. Kefka pressed some keypad buttons, and the glass door slid open. Kefka threw Nate into the chamber. He opened up a comm. Channel.

 "Slave! Bring in the materia!" Kefka barked, and Heidegger came into the room with a big bag of materia. If Yuffie was there, she'd have a frenzy! Kefka took the bag, unloaded it into a cylinder, and began to press some more buttons on a computer terminal.

 "How do we expect for HIM to fit in those clothes?" Kefka pressed a button, and some robotic hands came into the chamber. They undressed Nate and redressed him in something that was obviously too large. He stuck his head out of the uniform, trying to see. Kefka pressed a few more buttons and a low whir began from the bottom of the chamber. Nate began to float in the air, and some invisible force kept him rigid. The same robot hands came out and stuck several IV needles into him.

 Another hand placed an oxygen mask onto his face. Yet another hand placed two belt things on his wrists and two more tubes were hooked up to them. The mask was adjusted properly, and some sort of suspended animation liquid filled the chamber.

 "Whee hee! How fun! ANOTHER ME!!! I just LOVE myself. Just flip the switch and..." Kefka flipped the switch on the machine and the Materia Drainer began a low hum. Materia after materia loaded into the drainer, its power sucked from it and fed into Nate. A slow transformation began.

 "Reeve!" Tifa, Vincent, and Cloud ran into the office of the Mayor of Junon. "They took Nate to Kefka's tower!" Tifa shouted, and Reeve had some sort of a surprised look on his face.

 "And you want me too...?" He questioned.

 "NeoMidgar was destroyed when Kefka made his tower. Junon has a lot of advanced technology, and we were looking to utilize it," Vincent began, and Reeve nodded.

 "I see. Kefka is one disturbing guy... So you need to get into the tower, rescue Nate, and kill Kefka somehow?" Reeve suggested, but Tifa shook her head.

 "It's not that easy, Reeve. Kefka's got troops up to the wazoo. That thing is impenetrable! It also gives me the spooks," Tifa said. Cloud nodded in agreement.

 "It's better to wait for Kefka's next move. Then we can have a solid shot at the tower while he's busy," Cloud said. They agreed that was a solid plan.

 "Good. Kefka's gonna get me out of here," Seph Red said, and Seph Purple was striving to stop him. He saw Seph Blue, and had a great idea. He took Seph Blue over to another area, and he merged with him. A flash of light occurred. They were now Seph Blue. Seph Blue thought of a way to stop Seph Red, but it will take some time. At the time, he saw what seemed to be a person over somewhere. He propelled himself to the person and found him unconscious. He saw a crack above. He sent the person to the crack. The earth responded and opened up.

 Ramza was walking outside to the beach. She was thinking about Nate. Was he safe? She unfolded the camp seat she brought with her, and sat on the sand. She used a stick to play a game of tic-tac-toe by herself. Suddenly, she heard a rumble from the ocean. The waves rocked hard, and Ramza got out of her seat. A person washed up on shore with some green stuff on him. He was dressed in black, and Ramza dragged him over to the wall.  "Hey! Are you okay?" Ramza asked, and the man just gagged. "What's your name?" He just sat and gagged again. He seemed to be dressed in Ninja's clothes. Ramza helped him back to their house.

 "Mom! Dad! Help!" Elena and Reno set their sodas on the table and rushed outside. They saw Ramza dragging the man towards them, and their jaws dropped. They rushed over and helped Ramza get the man inside. Elena put the man on a bed, and he coughed. She removed his mask. Reno brought in some water and food for him.

 "What's yer name?" Reno asked, and the man just gargled. After much questioning, he uttered the word "Shadow."

 Well well! It seems Shadow found his way out. Hmm... That scene where Kefka hooks Nate up to that machine is very spooky. This is probably my least favorite chapter because of what Kefka does to Nate and how the others react. G'night.
