Filling in the Gaps

A Participatory Post Occupancy Evaluation
of Public Housing in Coolaroo West

HCV DESIGN

Here again pathways pose a problem. As the back door comes off the dining area, the use of this space as a path, from the laundry and bedrooms, limits its use as a living space.

Doors are a big issue in houses like this. They have been provided in excess, eg. WC to bathroom and living to kitchen; and in positions where they create trafic problems, eg. entry to bedroom1 and laundry to dining area.

This plan also lacks built in robes.
