Name: Liam Howlett
Role in Prodigy: Keyboards, song writer
From: Essex, England

At only 25 years old, Liam Howlett is the creative genious behind The Prodigy's music. Originally, The Prodigy was just Liam's music and a couple of dancers and he still insists on having complete responsibility for writing the music. Liam claims not to be an Essex boy, despite being seen driving around town in an Escort Cosworth and an AC Cobra.
He grew up in Braintree in Essex with the obsession for hip-hop. He wasn't interested in house music and was originally part of a hip hop band, Cut To Kill. From 1988 till 1990 he travelled to London Everyday to work as a Graphic Artist.
After this he bought a keyboard with the intention of making some songs for the fun of it. The name of the band comes from the first synthesizer Liam purchased, the MOOG PRODIGY, now very rare.
