Hitting the course for the PHS girls cross country
team are front row, left to right; Brooke Kattelman, Brittany Bergstand, and Suzanne
Bagent. Second row, Megan Kattelman, Shaylon Siepker, and Krystal Kremer.
Here's the girls messing around. Just wait till Mr. Carmitchel sees this! He will have a
heart attack! Oh and Shaylon Get that sucker out of your mouth!
See we really can act civil, as we pose for this picture at the Liberty Inv.
Krystal says "Smile!" as she snaps this photo of the team!
WOW!!! What a Start! Is that Brooke Kattelman way out front?
Seniors!
Brittany has had two great years with the Cross Country team
in Pittsfield. But that's not to say it was without her fare
share of problems, because she has had them! This year has
been pretty tough for her, but she is strong and in the end
when it really counts, we know that the miracle will
happen.
Krystal is a four year veteran of PHS Cross Country.
When she began, running around the block was a difficult
task, Now on a cool day with no sign of pollen or smoke she
can RUN FOREVER(maybe). During her Sophomore year she was
diagnosed with asthma, and since then the allergies
came into play. But through it all, she still has a great
time, and loves the sport.
Junior!
Suzanne has been in Cross Country for three years, she has
always shown the same courage in races and in practice that
is needed to win! She is learning to never be satisfied
with what she has and go for the gold. In Suzanne's words,
"I don't want our seniors to see their last race till state."
I guess we will have to wait and see.
Sophomore!
Shaylon is by far the most entertaining member of this team,
when times get tough, we can always depend on Shaylon for a
"out of the blue" quote to make everyone laugh. She has also
been improving by leaps and bounds during the last couple
of weeks, and we look forward to seeing her do the same for
a couple more years!
Freshmen!
This was Megan's first year in Cross Country and I believe
she's Hooked! You can't run cross country as well as she
does and not love it. And the best part about her is that
she is a Freshmen and has three GREAT years ahead of her
Look out Delavan here she comes!
Last but FAR from least, Brooke. As a freshman she has led
our team in many of the meets this year. There is nothing
holding this girl back, and she still has three AWESOME
years left. She has always had a good strong start and the
courage to run where she belongs.
COACH!
The end of October is a very stressful time for Coach
Carmitchel. As a stress reliever he likes to dress up as the
Joker and scare the small children on Halloween.
Well, Mr. Carmitchel really isn't that crazy .............or is he?
