History  The Central Florida Woodturners Guild was re-established in 1988 by several members of a woodturning club that had dissolved a couple of years earlier. Since that time the club has grown from only a few members to over 60 members with  a  much higher than average participation rate of the general membership. The club is dedicated to the advancement of woodturning as an art form and providing information and instructions to those interested in woodturning.

Meetings Meetings are held the third Thursday of each month at Moons Saw & Tool, 1620 Premier Row, Orlando, Florida and visitors are always welcome. The meetings consist of a short business meeting, member show and tell followed by an auction of turning wood donated by the membership (you can always find a good deal here). The main program for the evening is usually presented by one of the members and a couple of times during the year a special guest is brought in.

Special Events Each year in December the club hosts it's annual Christmas Party and Super Show & Tell where the members display their best works of the year. The club also sponsors special workshops and demonstrations by some of the most notable woodturners in the world. Some of the past special guests have included Ray Key, David Ellswoth, Stoney Lamar, John Jordan and many others.
