Lani O'Grady (1954-2001)

Mary Bradford, Eight Is Enough.

Died September 26, 2001, of a presciption-drug overdose (Vicodin and Prozac). She was 46.


  • Sister of Don Grady.
  • At the time of her death, lived in a mobile home in Castaic, California.
  • Suffered panic attacks.
  • Taught commercial acting classes in Los Angeles in the 1980s.
  • Was 22 when she debuted as med-school student Mary Bradford on Eight Is Enough (1977-81).
  • Scored first TV series, CBS' The Headmaster (1970-71), at age 15.
  • Made primetime debut, at age 13, on 1969 episode of High Chaparral.
  • Reprised her Bradford role in two TV-movies, Eight Is Enough: A Family Reunion (1987) and An Eight Is Enough Wedding (1989).
