  • Daughter of Mamas & Papas founder John Phillips.
  • Sampled her first drugs (marijuana and LSD) at age 12, per The E! True Hollywood Story.
  • Made her TV debut at age 13 in the anti-drug telepic, Go Ask Alice.
  • Made her film debut at age 13 in American Graffiti.
  • Arrested for felony cocaine possession in 1977, at age 18, after being found passed out on the street.
  • Fired from One Day at a Time in 1980.
  • Rehired by One Day at a Time in 1981.
  • Fired from One Day at a Time in 1983.
  • Dates her sobriety back to 1992.
  • Played a drug counselor in 1994 on Beverly Hills, 90210.
  • Other latter-day credits include a 1996 stint on The Guiding Light, and a regular gig as mom on the 1999-2001 Disney Channel series, So Weird.
  • Motivational speaker for hire.
