I think that a "Dark Quickening" is something not all that common. In one of the first season eps, Ritchie and Mac were talking about how Darius became good--he took a "light" Quickening, I guess ou'd call it. Ritchie than asked if it would be possible to kill an evil Immortal and become evil.
