How to deal with Satan, the Devil By John Chopores There are times when we should say very little to the Devil! Gen. 3: 1 ¶ Now the serpent was
more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he
said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, `You shall not eat of every tree
of the garden'?" 2
And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the
fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 "but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, `You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'" 4
Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not
surely die. The first big mistake on Eve’s part was talking to anyone who was spreading doubt about anything that God had said! Right off the bat the Devil was attacking Eve’s faith in God and His words. Satan has the gall to talk back to anyone, even God Himself! Cf. Job 2:4 So Satan answered the LORD and said, "Skin for skin! Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life. So, do not be surprised if Satan tries to continue the conversation.
This is one of those times when just saying “the Lord rebuke you” and no longer listening to the devil would probably have been enough. Cf. Jude 1:9 Yet Michael the archangel, in contending with the devil, when he disputed about the body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Quoting ScriptureMatthew 4:10 Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, `You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'" One way the deal with Satan is to tell him what the Bible has to say about something and then in the name of the Lord, tell him to leave. There are times when Satan will be speaking through a human
being. During those times, you may need to rebuke the person and Satan at the
same time. Cf. Matthew The Devil and his followers, will pose anyone on the side of God! Cf. Zechariah 3:1 ¶ Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him.
Remember to always rebuke Satan in the name of the Lord God.
Even the Lord rebukes Satan in the name Lord! Cf. Zechariah 3:2 And the LORD said to Satan,
"The LORD rebuke you, Satan! The LORD who has chosen Satan will use physical sickness, and on rare occasion Satan possession to oppose the king of God. Cf. Luke 13:16 "So ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan has bound----think of it----for eighteen years, be loosed from this bond on the Sabbath?" Luke 22:3 Then Satan entered Judas, surnamed Iscariot, who was numbered among the twelve. However while physical sickness is a common method of Satan and his demons to oppose the king of God, Satan possessing someone himself is very rare. (Please note that I have a web site on “Satan-possession”). Do not let Satan take the word of God, from your heart! Cf. Mark Satan is always on
the lookout for someone to make trouble for. Cf. Job 2:2 And the LORD said to Satan, "From where do you come?" So Satan answered the LORD and said, "From going to and fro on the earth, and from walking back and forth on it." 1 Peter 5:8 ¶ Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Know that a time
of temptation by Satan can be long or short. Cf. Mark 1:13 And He was there in the wilderness forty days, tempted by Satan, and was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered to Him. One way to help bring down the
