How to get and stay out of debt!

Now to subject at hand: "how to get and keep out of debt".

There are times when God will use a miracle and/or a man of God, help you out! Cf.2Ki 4:7 Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy children of the rest. [Sometimes the help will be advice. In this case, he tells her to sell the oil.].

"and he said, go, sell thy oil, and pay thy debt; what was thus miraculously produced was no doubt very good and excellent, and would fetch a good price; and she is therefore bid to turn it into money, and pay her debts with it; she was not to keep it all for her own use, and indulge to luxury with it, but first pay her just debt, as everyone ought to do that is able:

and live thou and thy children of the rest; so that it seems there was enough to pay her debt with it, rid her of her troubles, and somewhat remaining for the support of herself and children. " [JOHN GILL].

There are times, when going to the one you owe will help. Cf. Mt 18:32 Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me:

If this works, in your case, give God the glory, for it is by His grace! Cf. Ro 4:4 Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

Our part is:

Faith. Cf.Heb.11: 6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

Hard work. Cf. Pr 10:4 ¶ He becometh poor that dealeth with a slack hand: but the hand of the diligent maketh rich.

Self-control. Cf. Pr 21:17 ¶ He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich.

Saving. Cf. Pr. 6: 6 ¶ Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Not paying high interest. Cf. Pr 22:7 ¶ The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.

Giving to the poor, not the rich. Cf. Pr 22:16 ¶ He that oppresseth the poor to increase his riches, and he that giveth to the rich, shall surely come to want.

Be willing to take some time, to get wealth. Cf. Pr 28:20 ¶ A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent.

Pr 28:22 ¶ He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. Ec 11:1 ¶ Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days.

Tithing The tithe is already God’s, to begin with. Cf. Le 27:30 'And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD'S. It is holy to the LORD.

To not pay it: is to rob God! Cf. Mal 3:8 "Will a man rob God? Yet you have robbed Me! But you say, 'In what way have we robbed You?' In tithes and offerings.
