John Bonham
John Henry Bonham 1948-1979

John Henry Bonham was born in 1948. When he was a child, he was a natural drummer. When he was 10, he recieved a snare drum, and a full drum set when he was 15.

Bonham began his carrer in music in bands such as Terry in the Spiders, The Crawling King Snakes, a Way of Life and The Band of Joy. Two of which had Robert Plant. John was very violent with his drums. So much so that he got kicked out of a few clubs.

In the late 60's, Bonham and Plant got together with Jimmy Page and John Paul Jones to form one of the greatest rock bands ever to exist, Led Zeppelin. One of John's greatest works is the drum solo on "Moby Dick," found on Led Zeppelin's second album.

Bonham continued to play with the band throughout the seventies until he died in 1979. After that, Led Zeppelin was no more. He was 31.
