Randy Rhoads
Randall Rhoads 1956-1982

Randall Rhoads was born in 1956. In his early life, he developed a love for music and began playing guitar at the age of six. He progressed rapidly and posessed a natural talent. In the mid-Seventies he played in the mildly successfull band Quiet Riot.

In 1979-1980, Randy met Ozzy Osbourne, ex-lead singer of Black Sabbath, who was looking to start another band. Ozzy was ready to go back to England with dashed hopes of ever becoming successfull again. Randy played a few exercises for Ozzy and he was in. They named the band the Blizzard of Ozz and made three albums together.

One tragic day in 1982, a plane was flying very low to the ground and hit the bus Rhoads was in and he died. Ozzy became very depressed and drunk heavily (a problem he still battles with today). Rhoads was 25 when he died.
