Beach Boys Concert--April 22, 1971

JFK Coliseum, Manchester, NH
April 22, 1971

The first setlist I've seen with "Sloop John B" in the encore.

C-Man writes: "Riding the wave of a big east coast tour that started with their Carnegie Hall performance in February, the group played this show in New Hampshire that April. Unfortunately, this performance is not as strong as that Carnegie Hall show, or their concert at Boston's Symphony Hall (also in February), although they did play slightly longer. Al and Carl forget lyrics for YOU STILL BELIEVE IN ME and GOOD VIBRATIONS, respectively, and the band just seems kinda perfunctory, at best. Nonetheless, it is still an interesting setlist. Bruce mentions Dennis' film debut in "Two Lane Blacktop", scheduled to hit theatres that summer, as well as the new Mamas and Papas reunion album, which he calls "great", and the live version of WOULDN'T IT BE NICE recorded at the Big Sur Folk Festival the previous October, and just released as a single by Ode Records."
