Longtime contributor Bob Finkel writes: "Al Jardine's Endless Summer Band appeared tonight in Ridgefield, CT at the Ridgefield Playhouse before a packed house. David Marks (a nearby CT resident) was billed as a special guest and joined the band eight songs into the show. Up to that point Al was the lone guitarist (except for Ed Carter on bass). It was a rare treat to hear Al's guitar playing featured prominently. After David came on stage he played lead guitar for the rest of the show and added some excellent lead vocals on Surfin' and Surfin' Safari. Paul Shaffer was in the audience and joined the band for the encore. Luci Arnaz (sister of Desi Arnaz, Jr. of Ricci, Desi and Billy) was also in the audience and introduced by Billy Hinsche midway through the show. She then joined the band on stage for Barbara Ann and Fun, Fun, Fun during the encore."
Archive note: Curiously, Mike Meros was announced as having just joined the band. He had played shows with Al as early as 2005, and perhaps earlier.
