The Beach Boys

The Beach Boys released their first single "Surfin" in 1961. The single peaked at #75. A modest start indeed for a musical group that would later release over 30 studio albums, play thousands of concerts to millions of fans, and earn the title of "America's Band"! To many fans, the true Beach Boys broke up after Carl Wilson's death in 1998, although Mike Love and Bruce Johnston continue to tour under that name. But what is undebatable is the lasting legacy of The Beach Boys' music, which gains new fans every year.
