HISTORY

Larry, along with our boys, Mustache and Bean, are The Furmann Folks. Larry is the human and the boys are my two cats, who really ran the circus that was our home.

Our history began February 26, 1986 when my partner, Ric and I, met after a 12 Step Meeting, at a local pub, in Milwaukee Wisconsin. We spent the night talking about God and spirituality, which was and is, a focal point of our relationship.

We moved together in March of 1986 and eventually moved to Atlanta, Georgia in 1989, following what we believed to be a spiritual journey. Life was not kind to us, in the South and we returned to Milwaukee in October, 1990.

We became the parents of a beautiful blonde haired, blue eyed daughter on July 15, 1991, when she was 10-1/2 months old. On September 1, 1991, she was Christened Rebecca Anne Katherine Elizabeth Furmann.

BECKY FURMANN

[Morning Glory]

She is our Morning Glory Baby

Becky was a lively, bright, child who entered our hearts and home with a bang! Two men and a child were unique in our corner of this world at that time and we enjoyed every moment of her life with us.

Becky left this life as we know it, on April 19, 1995, at 12:20 PM, at age 4 years, 7 months and 21 days. She fought a valiant battle against Cryptosporidiosis and HIV and was a role model for many people around this globe. She remains in my life thru fond memories; unconditional love, and occasional visits which can only be described as beyond our usual comprehension.

Difficult as it was to go on with life, we continued to try to live life to the fullest, as she did. We spent Christmas of 1997 in Lexington, Kentucky and continued to plan for a future.

The future we planned was cut way to short, when on February 26, 1999, my beloved spouse, Ric, left this plane of life to join our daughter, Becky. He suffered long, but valiantly and died peacefully with me at his side. Our physical life together has ended, but our love continues and our spirits remain as one.

Now, as we did after Becky's death, I continue to look to the future and to live life to the fullest. It is, at times, lonely and extremly sad. However, I know that both of my loves, Ric and Becky, are with me and encouraging me to enjoy life, as we did as a family. It is clear to me now, that my future will be in Lexington, KY. I moved to Lexington on October 31, 1999. While my original plans did not work out as anticipated, I am growing very fond of Lexington and the people I have met. I know that this decision in one that is not only mine, but has been directed by Ric and Becky as well. I am looking forward to the life that will unfold for me here.
