OUR BROODMARES

Aria's Attraktion is a 16.2 hand Trakehner mare by Inselkönig out of Aria by Wildfeuer. Her name means "Performance of the Aria" or Aria's Performance"; She too, is of almost perfect conformation, a perfect example of Inselkönig's ability to throw superb mares. Her full sister, Adaja, has won numerous grand and reserve championships in breed classes. Adja is also dual registered as a Dutch Warmblood. Her first Dutch foal is First Premium. Her half brother, Accord, has been a regionally and nationally rank Gran Prix jumper. Attraktion, as we call her, delivered her first foal, Alpintanz - Alpine Dance - by Pikör on June 3, 1997. And as we expected, it is a superb cross. She produced another excellent foal - Alpintanz - in 1998. She will again be breed to Pikör 2000 and we look forward to another great foal. Aria & Aria's Attraktion

Aria, by Wildfeuer out of Attraktion by Viertakt, produced 3 excellent offspring that we know of; Adaja ATA stud book mare, winner of numerous Reserve and Grand Championships in breeding classes, is also a Star mare in the Dutch Warmblood registry. Her first foal was a First Premium stud colt. Another get, Akkord (1983 bay colt by Mikado), a grand prix jumper ranked 3rd in our region and 15th in the country, in the Amatuer division, during his prime. Aria's Attraktion is her last foal. She was in foal, again, to Inselkönig when she became severly ill. Due to the effects of the illness, Aria absorbed the foal and eventually died in 1993. She was a great mare! She was lovable, with excellent conformation, and 3 very good gates, and we miss her!

Baker's Delight is our only non-Trakehner, she is a registerd paint by Tag-Tom-Tomahawk (by Hank-a-Cheif) out of a quarter horse mare. She is 15.3 hand dunn/tobiano. Her first foal, Fantasie, is featured in the Nursery section. We breed her to Inselkönig which proved to be an excellent match. She produced a tri-color pinto colt, Herzenkönig. She was bred back to Inselkönig in 1998 but absorbed the fetus about 45 to 60 days into the pregnancy. We have bred her to Pikör and are looking forward to seeing the results of that match. She will be breed with frozen semen to attempt to get another great Insel Baby (as we call them) in the future.

Baker's Delight(Misha)

Melisande is a 16.1+ hand Part Trakehner mare by Mikado out of Mishka(a throughbred). She is known for producing excellent riding horses with great conformation. Her last two foals, Morganfee and Mendelsohnn, were by Kashmir. Both are excellent atheletes, have fantastic temperaments and are very easy to train. She also has another offspring, that we are kept informed on, Myka. Myka is doing very well in the dressage in shows in Michigan and Indiana. Melisande is an excellent mover in her own right. Being injured early in her show career has relegated her to broodmare status,with only occasional riding. Mel, as she is called, is now enjoying retirement.
