The diary of love:

February 14th 2000:
(written by Angie)
We got up early in the morning, because I had to go see the beloved Dr. (nothing to worry about). Then we went to lunch at Red Robin and had quite a nice time. There were few people there and it was quiet. After that we went to see Scream 3, 12:20 matinee, we were the only two in the theatre. Doesn't sound so Romantic, but it was a nice day that we spent ALONE and together. After the movie we went and rented another movie then came home. We made spaghetti together, watched some TV, ate dinner, watched our movie and layed in bed cuddling. These are the days I love the best, when I get to spend them with Doug.

We celebrated the New Years at home. My brother (21) and sister (15) came over for the night. My mom also came over, but then went to a party in Seattle. She ended up coming back at about 1:00am. Doug and I were in bed by 11:00 (so exciting) but we watched the fireworks on TV (and our neighbors from our window). Hehe, a nice quiet night, you would think we were 50 years old!

Christmas Eve Doug had to work until 5:00p, after that we went to his mom's house (a few miles from us) and spent Christmas Eve with his family opening gifts, eating and playing games. These were the attendees: His Mom, Step-dad, Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Steve, Great Aunt Tildy, Great Aunt Jo, Great Aunt Elnora, Uncle Ronnie, and Elena (Ronnie's wife, hehe, although she's our age, so we can hardly think of her as his aunt!). We spent the night at his mom's house and in the morning we made breakfast, then it was on to MORE fun..

Christmas Morning
we left Doug's mom's house and came home, unloaded the car (hehe) and went to Doug's dad's house. We had breakfast (again) and opened presents. Attendees: Doug's dad, step-mom, brother (Jason-7), sister (Harley-3), Step-Aunt Maude and her husband John. Aha, then there was MORE to come...

Christmas Afternoon
we drove to my mom's house (two hours from us) where we had Christmas dinner, opened presents, played games and spent the night. Attendees: My mom, sister (Teela-15), brother (Eric-21) and foster sister (Helen-16).

Thanksgiving we got up early and went to my mom's house where we had an early Thanksgiving dinner, then we had to come back because Doug had to work (for two hours). His family (on his mom's side) had dinner at his mom's house then came down to Doug's work to play some games for awhile. After they closed at 7pm we went to Doug's mom's house for pie (although I don't eat pie, hehe) and visited for awhile.

My 23rd birthday. We had just moved into our apartment and had to go get something that were left from Doug's cousins house. He gave me flowers that morning that he had picked up the day before (and I didn't even know!) That night Doug took me to dinner at the Space Needle and we had a great time! He had a rose waiting at the table for me. It was so awesome! Then we went to an arcade at the Seattle Center, just so we could dry off because it was raining so bad. We then came home, had a few drinks...

I left Colorado September 23rd stopped in Billings MT for one night and then in Hamilton MT (at my grandpa's) for one night. I arrived at my mom's house on September 25th. Doug's dad and step-mom drove him over so we could be together right away. It was great timing, he got there about 20 minutes after I did. We spent the night at my mom's house and then the next day it was on to Kirkland! Doug had arranged that we stay with his Cousin Pete unitl we found an apartment of our own. Me without a job it would be impossible to rent a place right away. Pete and his wife were kind enough to let us stay there until the end of October. I found a job right away, my second day here. I had two interviews and two job offers. I took the job closer to home, with more growth potential. I didn't start work until the 18th of October, but we were able to survive, I had a couple paychecks and bonus checks still coming and Doug was working. We spent every waking moment together (except maybe SOME bathroom breaks) when I got here until I started work, I even went to work with him.
