NSA Facilities, Theatre, Workshops, Trade Fair
NSA will have the best facilities ever for shows, workshops, and
3-D movie in a downtown location surrounded by shops, cafes, pub,
museums, and historic sites. We will have the largest STEREO
THEATER to date, seating over 500 in the area of maximum
brightness, with our 7' x  21'  DA-LITE  SUPER-WONDER-LITE  Silver
Lenticular screen elevated enough for all viewers to see the full
images on the screen . On the main projection platform, 52' from
the screen, we expect to have:
    1) 12 KODAK EKTAGRAPHIC IIIA (automatic focus) projectors with
	7"/180mm lenses, capable of  4 or 8-projector fade-dissolve or
	showing 2 or 3 or 4 images side-by-side;
    2) 2 RBT projectors with automatic focus, 180mm lenses, capable
	of either fade-dissolve or showing two 3-D images side by side;
    3) The latest model BRACKETT DISSOLVER with 180mm lenses,
	capable of showing 7 or 8P (full frame) slides;
    4) And perhaps the unveiling of a new, affordable 3-D projector
	capable of showing both 2"x2" (50mm x 50mm) and "Realist" (41 x
	101mm) mounts.
    5) We will also have two anamorphic lenses for uncompressing
	widescreen slides and a VM projector.
The biggest news is that we will have 3-D surround theater-quality
sound: If you provide a 2 channel stereo sound track, Gary Cowardin can
turn it into Multi-channel sound as heard in most modern movie theaters.
How it works --From 2 channel stereo sound (basic 3D sound) Gary can
derive (not synthesize) 6 channels: 5 front channels (far left, left,
center, right, far right) and a surround channel throughout the theater.
There are an additional 2 sub-woofer channels (left and right) which
supply the deep, powerful bass heard in many theaters. Gary can
optionally synthesize a sub-harmonic bass octave that adds realism to
most music and sound effects. SOURCE: To take advantage of this
presenters will need to supply a 2-track stereo recording (tape or CD),
or  a  3-4 track reel-to-reel, or a 3-4 track cassette.  If you supply a
2-track stereo music recording, you may give us control (sync) signals
on another tape with or without narration. For the 4-track tapes, track
#1 is the left channel, track #2 is the right channel, track #3 is
narration, and track #4 is for control (sync) cowardin@juno.com or phone
(804) 262-0534.

Here you presenters have the opportunity of a lifetime to have terrific,
fantastic sound effects with your show, so let's have rain, thunder,
wind, animal sounds, boat and train whistles, tornados, and the best
music ever! Let's have shows of El Nino acts, ice storms, tornado
damage, floods, natural disasters, all with sound! And PLEASE arrange
your shows to have two or three or four images on the screen
side-by-side!

We will have a separate room for workshops, 3-D video, 3-D Digital,
electronic imaging, computer manipulated imaging, etc. with a 9' x 12'
flat "SILVER LINING" screen, overhead projector, and projectors as
needed (including video projectors). The workshop proposal form is on
the back of this page.

We have the largest TRADE FAIR room ever in a new, state-of-the-art
Convention Center attached to the hotel via skywalks.

3-D movies will be shown in the beautiful, plush BYRD Theater. Get on
the internet and go to: http://nsa-3d.org, Convention Info, then latest
up to date info link. On the schedule page click the underlined
words (links), to the BYRD theater music and photos.

Y'all come now! This will be the greatest 3-D Convention ever, but we
need your shows and workshops!
