A miniature book box vignette, featuring
Aladdin and his magic lamp

The miniature vignette pictured here was built inside a cardboard box that's in the shape of a hard bound book.

The scale is 1/2 inch = 1 foot (ie: the Aladdin doll is 3 inches tall). Everything is hand made with the exception of; the Persian hand woven carpet, which is from Jennifer Lasher's imports, the glass bottle (that I transformed into a hooka pipe), the monkey (it's a plastic toy from the 1950's that I painted), the market vender's short sword and the lamp. The blue geni was created from the upper half of an action figure (Rikishi, the wrestler).

First Place Blue Ribbon for best vignette.
Gold Ribbon for Best of Show.
