Hey, Garth!
I cannot put easily into words what you and your music have meant to our family. While I was pregnant with my son, Austin, in 1992, I watched your first NBC TV special. My son became very active during the concert. When he was two years old, my father played that very same concert on the VCR and my son watched it from beginning to end. From that moment, he became a huge fan of yours. He had to have a black hat, boots, and a guitar. Eventually, my husband and I, who always enjoyed your music, started buying your CD's. If we left the house, your CD had to be in the car. If he saw a shirt with you on it, he had to have it. If he saw you on TV, he had to watch it. It has been four years now, and he is still fascinated by you. You have become a very important person in his life. His room is surrounded by posters and pictures of you. In fact, the thrill of his life was when he met you at Fan Fair '96. He still talks about that moment. The following year, he was able to see you in concert twice. You have touched this child deep down. I cannot explain it. Not a day goes by in our lives that we don't hear your music, see your face, or hear our child talk about you in some way. He wants to become a singer just like you when he grows up. We are planning on giving him guitar lessons and encouraging him if this is something that he really wants to do. I thank God for you and for your inspiration in our son's life. God bless your family. I know that there are times in everyone's life that seem hopeless and tiresome. But please remember, there are millions of people around the world who you have inspired and know that you are truly loved by them all, especially a little boy in Texas named Austin.

Garth, you are the greatest. Your music inspires me and it makes me see the goodness in people around me. Your music has taught me to look at things in a different light, and I thank you for that. I think it is great that you talk about your wife and kids, and family on television or in interviews. It shows that you are very proud of who you are and what you have, and I think that's one of the greatest gifts in the world...is to be proud of what you have. You make a difference in everyone's life, and I hope you continue to bring us great music and great love. By the way, you are very sexy!!!

Garth~
HI ! My name is Katie, and I am a thirteen year old who admires you greatly! I can not put easily into words how much you mean to me. When my VERY close uncle died, your music was there to comfort me. Unanswered Prayers made me realize that things happen for a reason, and helped me later when my grandpa died. If you could ask my friends how much you mean to me, they would say I am CrAzY for you. You helped me accept the fact that the memories and pictures are all I have to remember them by. And I thank you for that. I could not tell you how close my uncle and I were. He was my sun shinning above me, and he was my hero. My whole family says I have taken after him, and am so like him. He was a great man that died at age 36. He was tremendously smart, athletic, and extremely nice. He was everybody's friend, and never put anybody down. Because he was such a great man, we hold a foundation day in his memory every year, (this will be the 5th year). It's called the Terry Moran Foundation. It is held on July 17 and is a Family Day, and 16" Softball tournament, in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. It benefits the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, since his God child, my brother, is a 17 year old diabetic. It has a Hay ride, Moonwalk, games, prizes, and clowns for the kids. A Beer Garden, Hot dogs, pizza, a corn roast, hot pretzels, ice cream, and more for refreshments. Also, a D.J ( Juke Box Joe), 16" softball tournament, horseshoe toss, and raffles for entertainment. I just wanted to write to you to tell you how much you have impacted my life. If my uncle were here today, he would be able to tell you. You have also helped me to express how I felt, and still do. I now write songs, that mean a lot to me. Everyone has told me that they are really good, and they have cried when I sing my songs to them. My parents and family have told me that I have a beautiful voice. I was just recently in the musical Grease at my school. I was Rizzo. When I was up on stage, I wished my uncle and grandpa could have been there, but then I remembered your song Unanswered prayers. They died for a reason. Maybe to make me stronger internally, or maybe I will be a songwriter/singer because of them. I don't know. Thank you for talking the time to listen to me. You mean the world to me. Thanks again.
Sincerely,
Kate Willing

Dear Garth,
I was 16 in 1992 when my friend (whom I am now married to) and my mother were talking about Garth Brooks. I leaned forward and asked, "Who is Garth Brooks." The laughter roared for the next couple weeks. I was once quoted as saying,"I'll never be caught dead listening to country music." Thanks to your music, that is now all that I will listen to. You were my favorite artist back in 1992 and you're my favorite artist today! I just wanted to show my appreciation to you, your family and your music. It has been an inspiration to my entire family both near and far. Keep up the great work.
God Bless you and your family!!

Dear Mr. Brooks,
My name is Jennifer Downs and my mom and I really love your music! Evertime I come home I turn on your cd and listen to your music while I am doing my homework. You have inspired me in so many ways. You're music is so overwhelming it's so different from other country music artists. Each individual song has its own meaning in depth. Your songs do not have the same tune or the same meaning. There are some that are very up beat and then there are your songs which are serious and get right into my soul. My mom and I really hope that you have another concert over here in California. I live in Victorville and I did a little research and heard that you started here at the Cocky Bull. I was so excited that you actually started in my home town! It's so excelerating! Please, if you can, respond to this letter. I would be very much obliged. Thank you for your time. And I hope that your success will keep rising!
Sincerely yours,
Jennifer

Hi Garth! I understand that you're taking time off to spend with your family, but when you do go back on tour, be sure to come bach to Philadelphia. I had such a great time at the concert when you were last here. You are the best preformer I have seen yet. It was Billy Joel before I saw you. I was with a group of my friends and my mom and even she loved it. Your music has touched me in so many ways and I continue to listen almost everyday. Well, keep up the great work and I can't wait for the next GB CD to hit the stores.

Hey Garth! I am like your biggest fan! I love your music and you are such a hottie! I have all of your CD's and every time there is a TV special I tape it (I have the one from the night that Double Live came out and it is my favorite!!) I have the video of your concert in Central Park and I watch it at least once a week! In school when I have a presentation or research paper to do I normally do it on you or your songs. Once in English I used one of your songs and did a poem analysis on it, and in ASL (American sign language) I signed Learning to Live Again. I love you and your music and as long as you are around I know that I'll have the courage to face another day. Your music helps me through life and somehow to understand the world around me. I have tons of T-shirts from your concerts that my brother has brought me and anything that has your name or face on it I have to have. When I was younger I used to say that you were the man that I was going to marry and I cried for like two weeks when my mom told me that you were married. On June 15 I turned 15 and my party theme was you! Your pictures were everywhere and me and my friends listened to your music and then we watched your video's then we ate a cake that was supposed to look like you, it really had no resemblance what so ever. Now that my mom says I am old enough I hope to go to one of your concerts and maybe even meet you, a dream come true. I just wanted to tell you that you are the best! And that I love you and your music!!!

Dear Garth,
I can not put into words how much I love your music. The River and It's Your Song are very important to me. You inspire me to live up to my dreams and goals. I feel like you are my hero, you have helped me to become closer to God and to belive and trust in myself more. I started listening to your music when I was thirteen and have continued ever since. I would be my dream come true to meet you, your family, and your band. I am a singer/songwriter myself trying to start out like you once did, your life's story has inspired me to follow my dreams and to not let anyone or anything tell me that I can not go for what I want most in life. I have a wide variety of pictures, T-shirts soundtracts, and etc. of you that I cherish close to my heart. I have become attached to you and your music. I would like to say in closing, God Bless You and Your Family!!!!!!! I will still keep my dream of one day having the privliege to meet you and then I will tell you more about how you have affected my life. One of your greatess and Biggest Fans, Arthur Ray Jr. Brown P.S. I want to thank you for doing what you do best

Dear Garth-
I have been wanting to write you for a while to tell you about my little boy, Sean. When I was pregnant with Sean, I listened to your tapes everyday on the drive to and from work or when I was working around the house. After his birth, I sang "Shameless " to him when it was time for bed. Last year, my sister-in-law gave me your Live Tape set as a gift. Sean & I would listen to it on the way home from daycare. He is crazy about "Fever". He even does the funniest dance to it (of course, he would die of embarassment if anyone else saw it). I only wanted to let you know that you are a marvelous influence, and I am so happy that my son enjoys your music as much as my husband and I do. P.S. Thank you so much for "Shameless" on all of those nights I was up at 3:00 am.

Hi Garth.
I'm 12 and have listened to your music for as long as I can remember. I have all of your cd's. I am learning to play the guitar so I can try to play your songs. I like you the most because your songs don't all sound the same. The song I like the best is THE THUNDER ROLLS (the long version). The song that inspires me the most is WE SHALL BE FREE. I envy the person that caught your guitar in LIVE FROM CENTRAL PARK. The concert I liked the most was for DOUBLE LIVE the way you started CALLIN' BATON ROUGE. For trick-or-treat last year I dressed up as you. I made myself a microphone like yours. A lot of people recognized who I was supposed to be. That means you have a lot of fans. I hope you continue to make great and wonderful songs. Hope you write back.
One of your #1 fans and always will be,
Matt

Garth,
There is so much to say. You have made a huge impact on my life. Your songs have helped me though difficult times. You have made me a better person, and encouraged me to reach for my goals. Which are recording my own personal music. I write and compose songs. I always thought I couldn't live up to this goal, and when I attended your concert on my birthday April 17, 1998 in SanAntonio I relized I can do anything if I choose to chance the rapids and dare to dance the tides. Which I am doing today thanx not to the only greast country singer in the world but to a very special friend.

Dear Garth,
My name is Lisa Perry and I live in West Monroe, New York. Its about 25 miles north of Syracuse. I am a huge fan of yours. I not only love you as a performer, but you are a very loving, passionate, caring person. You completely move me every time I watch you or hear your music. I can see the love for music deep in those beautiful blue eyes of yours! How is the family? I wish them well and also edmire them. I have a daughter Jessica, and she is 6. She was diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis when she was 3. She is doing very well with it and we are hoping for a cure someday. She is also a big fan of yours and she knows all your songs! On June 10th, 2000, I plan to marry the love of my life. His name is Jim Carr. You are probably the only country star he will listen to. We would like to extend an invitation to you and your family, to join us in our celebration of love! If I had it my way, the only music that would be played at our wedding, would be yours! My all time dream is to have you sing to us as we dance as husband and wife for the first time. I know you probably get alot of these requests and I understand if you can't make it. Garth - Thank you for the music............it has helped me and a very dear friend of mine in so many ways. She was at a bad point in her life, (her husband of 11 years had left her and her kids while she was in the hospital), and your tickets to the concerts in Chicago went on sale. I tried to get some and was told they were sold out. I heard a radio station say that Ticketmaster thought they were sold out, but they weren't and to call and tell the person on the phone to check further. I called again, and amazingly enough, got through. The person did say they were sold out, I told her what I had heard on US99 and - I GOT TICKETS !!! They were to the first show on Oct. 21. I couldn't believe it! Well, I took my friend and we had the best time ever! For a short time, she was happy again. Then I copied some of your songs to a tape for her and she has been a much happier person ever since. Your positive attitude have helped in so many ways!
Again.....THANK YOU!
As for me, "The Dance" and "The River" have been very inspirational for me. I hope you and your family are as happy as you have made my friend and I and all of your fans.
God Bless!
Silvia :)
