PETER NEWS & UPDATES

March 25, 2002

In the Canadian mini-series "Trudeau", Peter played Trudeau's adviser, Jim Coutts. The project was directed by Peter's old friend Jerry Ciccoritti ("Paris, France", "Chasing Cain") and is scheduled to air on the CBC beginning March 31st 2002.

Peter has also been at work on a film entitled "The Bay of Love and Sorrows" based on the book by David Adams Richards. Peter plays the role of Everette Hutch, the film is scheduled to do the festival circuit and then will probably be released to theatres in the summer/fall.

In early December, Peter flew to Costa Rica to work on the T.V. movie, "100 Days in the Jungle" directed by Sterla Gunnarsson. It's based on a true story about a group of Canadian oil workers who were kidnapped and held for ransom in the Ecuadorian jungle. Peter plays one of the negotiators, sort of like the Russell Crowe character in "Proof of Life".

"Men With Brooms" was released to Canadian theatres on March 8th. The Canadian comedy made an impressive box-office debut. Released on 207 screens across Canada, "Men with Brooms" grossed $1.04 million, for a per-screen average of $5,024. Meanwhile Peter's M.O.W. "The Rendering" opposite Shannon Doherty aired in February and should be available on video later this spring.

Peter was nominated for a Genie award (Canada's Oscars). He was up for "Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for: Marine Life". At the awards show on February 7th, which Peter did not attend, the award went to Brendan Fletcher.

Peter is now back in L.A. for "pilot season" with his wife Tammy. They have recently added a member to their family: an Australian Blue Heeler puppy called "Pepper". Peter will most likely be back in Toronto this summer to film a second "Chasing Cain" television movie for the C.B.C. (Thanks as always to my #1 source, Jonathan)

It's confirmed that Peter is playing a supporting role in the CBC mini-series "Trudeau" directed by Jerry Ciccoritti (Paris France, Chasing Cain). The project shoots in Ottawa, Montreal and Halifax. In addition to that, Peter is also starting work on a new Canadian independent feature film entitled "The Bay of Love and Sorrows" in which he plays the lead role. Shooting for that film will take place in Moncton, New Brunswick. Both projects are expected to be wrapped up by mid-November.

Peter's next MOW is called "The Rendering" and it is for Lifetime network in the U.S. He just started shooting today in Montreal and will be there until mid September. He plays a killer opposite Shannon Doherty of 90210 fame. Peter's wife Tammy also has a small role in the project.

Peter is also rumoured to be attached to the CBC mini-series "Trudeau" being directed by Jerry Cicorritti. Colm Fiore plays Pierre Trudeau, Peter would play one of his key advisors. However, keep in mind that this has yet to be confirmed!
(Special thanks to Jonathan for the news!)

I know, it's been WAY too long since I've updated! Been busy, busy, busy! Anyway, I've broken the gallery into 3 separate parts and added 24 new pictures, and there's more to come! I completely re-designed the Articles & Interviews section and added many new articles. As you can see, I finally updated the VCR Alerts (sorry!). I started a Multimedia page where you can listen to a piece of Peter singing "I'm Not a Fucking Drag Queen" (Better Than Chocolate). I'm working on the Movie Reviews and Credit pages now. I'll also be adding movie trailers to the Multimedia page and a few more links to the Links page.

I've added a new Peter interview/article to the Articles & Interviews section. There is also a new link to a Chasing Cain site in the Links section

Now that Spring Break has arrived, I'm taking some time to update my page. So sorry I haven't been doing so recently! Peter's next film is entitled "Men with Brooms". Click here to see information on the film.
I've added a few things to Articles & Interviews.
More to Come!

An update on the 'Outer Limits' episode: Sci-Fi Channel's website reports that Sherilyn Fenn appears in an episode entitled "Replica," playing a scientist who volunteers to be cloned, with disastrous results. There is no mention of Peter and this plot line differs very slightly from the one rumored earlier, but it's still likely to be the same one. I guess we'll just have to see. It is set to air June 22 on the Sci-Fi channel.

Peter has been hired to appear for his third guest starring role on the series "The Outer Limits". He begins shooting in early March, no word on episode title or character name. The episode co-stars Sherilyn Fenn, who plays his dying wife whom he clones (a process Peter invents that allows clones to rapidly develop to the same age as their original) in order to replace his soon to be dead spouse. Only problem, the wife miraculously recovers and both her and her clone want the other woman killed to ensure they are the only one. Quite a plot, huh?

Peter will be back in Toronto in early May to reprise his role as Detective Bob Kozlowski in a second "Chasing Cain" MOW for CBC. The first Cain MOW will air on the CBC in early April and is currently in post-production. January 26, 2001

Ok, lots of new updates. I've added a new picture to the Gallery as well as some articles and interviews including a link to the new interview from Northern Stars Magazine. I have added a new Contact Peter section with e-mail and mailing addresses. The Biography section has also been updated.

I know I've been slacking, guys, but I'm back to update my page. I'll be adding new pics, interviews, reviews, and more. As for Peter, his next film entitled "Chasing Cain" is currently in production. It was is due to air on CBC this winter, but no date has yet been set. The following is a description of the film (courtesy of Salter Street Films):

"Inspired by real life homicide cases, CHASING CAIN focuses on a murder and the ensuing investigation in one of the world's most complex and ethnically diverse cities. Producer Bernard Zukerman and writer Andrew Berzins spent months with detectives of a real-life homicide squad.

The drive-by shooting of a doctor and a woman who work at an abortion clinic leads Detectives Kazlowski and McGoogan to a suspect with ties to the pro-life movement. A sudden turn of events and a suicide attempt by the dead woman's husband lead the detectives into an impenetrable world of politics and prejudices.

CHASING CAIN is the first in a planned series of movies which follows Detective Kazlowski, a veteran of the homicide squad, and Detective McGoogan, recently promoted from the morality squad.

Directed by Jerry Ciccoritti (Net Worth, The Life Before This), and written by Andrew Berzins, CHASING CAIN is co-produced by Bernard Zukerman (Love and Hate, Million Dollar Babies, Net Worth, Heart: The Marilyn Bell Story) and Salter Street Films."

Be sure to watch "Out of Sync" tonight at 9/8c on VH1. Peter plays the role of Roger Deacon ("Deke"), a down-on-his-luck record producer who discovers a housewife with a golden voice and decides to apply her skills to a talent-challenged singer he's managing. Watch out for VH1 Music_News which is currently showing a piece on the film including a lengthy interview with Mr. Outerbridge himself. VH1 is also currently showing a short video entitled "Desperate Measures" that features clips and a song from the film. I've seen these previews and Peter has the LEAD role in the film (although he doesn't get credit for it)!! And it looks like he gets a lot of "action" in this one, so don't miss it ;-)

July 10, 2000

I've added 4 new Peter pics from 'Out of Sync' to the photo gallery. To see more pics from the film and some video clips, check out the VH1 website for the film.

March 22, 2000

I've been informed that Peter will be getting married soon. There aren't any further details at this time. Also, Peter is filming a movie entitled "Out of Sync" in Toronto. Click here to see the press release.

"Mission to Mars" opens in theaters nationwide. The film has Peter in a smaller role, and it looks like his character isn't going to live beyond the first 20 minutes. Sorry. But it's still worth seeing Mr. Outerbridge in a big, Hollywood flick. The film also stars Don Cheadle, Gary Sinise, Tim Robbins, and Jerry O'Connell
