So you were born in The Year Of The Dragon. Hey, just because they are mythical and/or extinct, doesn't make you any less now does it? Actually, it may lend a little allure to your persona! Are you really there? Oh yes, in all your Dragon glory stirring imaginations from here to pendragon and back.

Dragons have minds operating on other planes than mere mortals can know. One thing they never do is doubt themselves. They operate with their own set of rules and regulations and make their own laws. They are not blind to others and their needs or desires, but they are also not afraid of overruling them. There is no such thing as winning out over a Dragon. If you do, it is because they allow it, or it somehow fits into their plans.

Emotional is the keyword when investigating the Dragon. One thing you can depend upon about being a Dragon is that you have a full deck when it comes to emotions. Many things you take for granted from others, but you don't expect the same in return. No one can take you for granted. If they do it will be their mistake and it will cost them dearly.

But Dragons can be very forgiving. It may be that way because they expect the same treatment from others not realizing that others may have much more to forgive. Being the least bit sentimental and romantic may be pushing it for Dragons. Sensitivity is not their long suit. They don't have the same standards as mere mortals and don't understand why we seldom measure up to them. They are the dreamers of the world, and all their dreams are quite real to them.

After researching the literature and gathering the information, the following appears to be what the authorities in the field of Chinese astrology, even the best, which I think is Suzanne White, think about the Dragon.

DRAGONS ARE:
--not from either Mars or Venus, --self-sufficient, -- sentimental, --enthusiastic, --intuitive, --shrewd, -- tenacious, --healthy, --influential, --vital, --generous, --spirited, --captivating, --artistic, --admirable, --lucky, --successful, --autonomous.

WEAKNESSES: --located some distance from reality, --pompous, --disquiet, --stubborn, --willful, --demanding, --irritable, --loud-mouthed, --other-worldly, --impetuous, --judgmental, --ruthless, and oh yes, in another space and time.

ALSO THEY ARE: -elusive, disjointed, and may become easily bored, seeking distraction elsewhere.
-rather selfish and strong-willed even as they remain self-centered.
-on the eccentric side and enjoying their complex behavior.
-mostly self-contained, but having very passionate nature, look to others to satisfy it.
-busy jealously guarding their treasures, being rather selfish about sharing their worldly goods with others.
-hard to effect. Only way to their head is through their heart since they are so sentimental.
-known for exposing an attitude of unreasonableness at times.
-experienced as considering themselves superior to others.
-not adverse to actually making up their own rules to live by.
-not very bothered by their means of gaining their ends.
-not good at taking orders, but doesn't mind giving them.
-capable of being tyrants and can be quite over-bearing while at it.
-not good idea trying to fight Dragons since one way or another they will do what they want.
-thought to be lucky to be around.
-great with words and will brush you up one side and down the other until you are glowing.
-good at glossing over what they don't want discussed.
-sure of wealth, good life, and longevity.

She:
-hates restrictions.
-can be a crusader for what she believes in.
-like a Gemini, she is a duality seeming worldly-wise, while at same time brutally down-to-earth.

-shows true friend a kindly earth-mother type being very giving, but only to them .
-does create an interesting home nest for self with her rather outrageous taste.
-brightness counts when they decorate their rooms.
-does love to dazzle with their point-blank directness.

He:
-finds leadership easy and loves the attention the leadership role gives him.
-has more than his share of "dignity" and likes to perform on a grand scale.
-is goal oriented accomplishing much and expects to.
-is rather traditional and conservative about women's role in the home.
-has been know to stray if not happy in his marriage.
-is usually healthy because of his interest in his own body and condition..
-sees clothes as fun and a costume to be enjoyed.
-can be sentimental to a fault, but more often is not.

Socially:
-is a much pursued figure.

-they could use the wisdom of the Snake.
-Monkeys being enthusiastic get on well with them; the two complimenting each other.
-Rats often do well with Dragons, nicely singing their praises and applauding their success making themselves invaluable to Dragon.
-Rooster is also good for Dragons, however, Tigers do not go well with them.
-Dogs or Oxen are also not very suitable for this personality.
-Horses and Cats do get on with Dragons respecting their strength.
-in business only Tigers and Monkeys can handle the Dragon's vitality.
-Pigs lucky with money matters make good combination with Dragon who dress up products.
-as parents they are authoritarian with compassion.
-Tigers, Horses, and Monkeys do well as children of Dragon.
