Gerry's Chuckles

Hello, This is Betty Thomas,
I now live in Eastleigh, which is a medium sized town about 7 miles north of Southampton. I have lived most of my adult life in and around Eastleigh. I have tried to resend the photographs I was originally having problems with, I hope they come out clearly; I have tried as best I can to depict just who is who. I'm sorry, but I do not have a recent photograph of myself at the moment.

The very first photograph is of Barbara (my sister) with Muriel and Ernest Claxton and their children Wendy, Nigel and Joy, with whom I lived in Folkestone.

The second on the left is of Pam and myself with Mrs Sigston and her children when we were at Bexhill.

The second photo on the right was taken when I was evacuated to Ammanford, this is of myself, Pamela, Mr. & Mrs. Williams and their two daughters.

The bottom left picture is a photograph of myself with Dr. Claxton and his children Nigel and Joy.

The last photograph is of all us all six evacuees together, Betty Horne, Barbara my sister (her head peeping through at the back), Betty Gaine to her left, and next to her is Kenny Gaine. I am in the front row immediately in front of Barbara, and the small girl (whose name I cannot recollect) is next to me.

I would be very interested to know whether anyone recognizes any of the people in these photographs or has any memories of the places I have mentioned above. Hoping to hear from you soon.

Kind regards,

Betty
