*** week 11 ***

Luck Ran Out After making two comeback wins in the last four games, the 49ers luck ran out. On Sunday, the 49ers lost to the Atlanta Falcons to the score of 31-19. This is definatly not the 49ers that we are use to seeing. It seems like they are unable to get off to the fast start that they are famous for. Steve Young felt pressure all afternoon being sacked four times and turning the ball over twice. One of which was a fumble recovery for a TD. "Atlanta defensed us very well, almost to the point of frustration," said Young. "I had a lack of patience. You have to give them credit. We had opportunities." Even though Jerry Rice had a monster game with 10 catches, 169 yards receiving, and a TD it seem like all anyone is going to remember about this game is that he dropped a TD pass that could have tied the game in the second quater. Here is some news for you. JERRY RICE IS HUMAN! "I had the opportunity, but I didn't make the play," said Rice. "I am taking the blame for that." The Defense did a decent job. They played three quarters of almost mistake-free football. But they couldn't stop the Falcons when it really counted. "The Falcons are a good football team, we knew that coming in here," said Niners coach Steve Mariucci. "They capitalized on a couple of turnovers. Even though we have a team that can come back from a deficit, we need to get out front instead of play catchup all the time." They better start, because playoff time is getting closer and closer. GO NINERS! Chris Kelley
