Simply The Best

Last Sunday, Jerry Rice broke basically the last NFL Receiving record that
has any importance. Early on in the game, Rice caught a pass from Young to
make it his 184th consecutive game with at least one reception. "It's an
honor to break his record," Rice said. "Art Monk, he was the ideal receiver."
But that wasn't the only record on hand. Young and Rice also tied a record
for most touchdowns by on duo with a TD pass early on in the first quater.
It was their 79th, tieing them with Miami's Dan Marino and Mark Clayton. Oh
yeah, the 49ers also won making them 6-1. The defense stepped up and forced
the Rams to four turnovers and nine sacks. Partly because of the return of DB
Marquez Pope. Also, CB Darnell Walker intercepted two passes with three knock
downs. Next upfor the 49ers is the Green Bay Packers at GB. Pretty much
everybody is expected to be healthy forthis game, so this should be a good
measuring stick to how good the team really is. GO NINERS!
