The former Common Curriculum "Arts" section combined with the two specialized documents(one from the late 1970's and the other from 1986)covered primary/elementary and intermediate/senior visual arts education respectively. A new Grade 9-12 arts curriculum
should be pubished in the spring of 1999.

  This is Peg Cagle's (a Los Angeles middle school teacher)very good guide to her husband's Daryl Cagle's Professional Cartoonist Index site. Several sample lesson plans are divided into elementary,middle and high school sections. Perhaps the best site on the Internet
  that offers specific instructions on using especially editorial cartoons in an integrated manner. The plans offer options encouraging convergent responses. Highly recommended.
